Try an experimental Zabbix 8.0 connection.

v0.9.4 lets teams test TriggerDeck with current Zabbix 8.0 beta builds while work toward the future LTS release continues.

Zabbix 8.0 Experimental

Zabbix 8.0 connections are marked experimental.

Zabbix 8.0 is still changing, so this release marks 8.0.x connections as experimental. TriggerDeck uses API-token authentication, excludes JSON item values from numeric charts, and has been checked against the 8.0 demo dashboard. Where current 8.0 contracts align, that check covers Problems, Problems by severity, Graph, Graph (classic), Gauge, Item value, Clock, Top hosts, Top items, Top triggers, Action log, and Host availability. Changed or unsupported widgets, including scatterplots and unsupported graph datasets, show their limitations rather than unreliable data. Validation will continue through beta, RC, and GA with the aim of supporting Zabbix 8.0 LTS when upstream finalizes it.

Tag Filters

Problems and Hosts can now be narrowed by monitoring tags.

iOS App Functionality

v0.9.4 lets you test experimental Zabbix 8.0 connections, filter Problems and Hosts by tag, and see more useful dashboard data.

  • Added Zabbix 8.0 experimental support so teams can begin validating TriggerDeck against current beta and experimental builds while support continues to evolve toward the future 8.0 LTS line.
  • Added tag filters to Problems, including discovered tag suggestions, custom tag/value filters, Any/All matching, and remembered filter state per server.
  • Added tag filters to Hosts so inventory browsing can be narrowed by the tags already used in the connected Zabbix environment.
  • Added inline latest item values to Problems, host-scoped problem lists, and dashboard Problems widgets so trigger context is visible without opening full details first.
  • Added server version and support-status badges to the More server switcher so compatibility state is easier to check after a connection is saved.
  • Improved connection setup by separating server/API-version checks from API-credential checks in the Server check section.
  • Improved Dashboards so widgets that inherit the Zabbix dashboard time period can use the dashboard default instead of forcing a fixed app range.
  • Improved Zabbix 8.0 dashboard compatibility with clearer unsupported-widget handling and continued support for the native widget set already available on earlier supported Zabbix lines.
  • Fixed several dashboard compatibility edge cases around gauge rendering, host availability, host-scoped template dashboards, and nonnumeric Top hosts or Top items values.
